It All Starts Inside

IGMA Team,

we all spend time every morning getting ready for work or school. We take a shower, pick out our clothes, and get dressed. We put effort into getting the outside looking the best that we can, and that’s good. But a pretty face can’t hide low self-esteem and wearing the latest fashion won’t cover feeling unattractive. What would happen if you took ten minutes every morning to get your inner person ready for the day by reminding yourself about who you are. “God says I am blessed, redeemed, forgiven, talented, valuable, free, equipped, empowered, accepted and approved, a masterpiece, a child of the Most High God.”

Take time to make positive, faith-filled affirmations over yourself. If you do it in the morning, it will get your thoughts running in the right direction. Then keep those thoughts running all through the day. The more you do it, the more it will become part of who you are and push you forward. The more you dwell on the right thoughts from God’s Word, the less room there is for the wrong thoughts. It all starts inside.

A Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You that I can begin every day by speaking and affirming what Your Word declares about me. Thank You that I can use the power of ‘I am’ to become who You say I am. You call me a masterpiece and Your treasured possession. I will use my words to invite good things into my life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
