The Calling

IGMA Team, Moses grew up in Egyptian royalty, with the finest education of the day in leadership, business, and government. He also grew up with the sense of God’s calling on his life. Deep down, he knew he was supposed to deliver his people from the oppression of the Egyptians. But he made a mistake and ended up living in the wilderness for forty years. That could have seemed like a waste, like he’d missed his calling, but God was using that time to teach Moses how to survive in the desert and give him the skills he would eventually need to lead the people through the wilderness.

You may have made mistakes and gotten off course, but God’s calling on your life is irrevocable. He doesn’t change His mind. He uses the delays, the wrong turns, the bad breaks, and the wilderness season to move you toward your purpose. God sees the big picture and is preparing you and positioning you to fulfill your assignment, to get you into your promised land, and to become all you were created to be.

A Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You for the calling You put in my heart and that my mistakes and failures cannot nullify it. Thank You for the steps and the refining process You are working to bring it to pass in my life. Help me to be patient and know You are preparing and positioning me to fulfill my assignment. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
